I've just discovered this gorgeous Tumblr site, Modesquisse. I could spend days looking at vintage fashion illustrations, especially those by French illustrator René Gruau.
I had the opportunity to visit an amazing vintage poster shop, The International Poster Gallery, on Newbury street in Boston in May that carried some Gruau posters. I would just die to have one in my home.
Hello friends. Yes, it's been a very long time since my last post on this blog. It hasn't been due to a lack of interest or inspiration. Rather, I've been tied up finishing a major project: my second novel. I'm thrilled to report that it's now behind me now, so I'm back and looking forward to sharing some of my favorite things here.
One of my passions is beautiful books + watercolor illustrations. I was thrilled to discover this lovely gem by Sandra Bark. The modern texts are inspired by Aesop's fables ( similar to the ones by Jean De la Fontaine), and the gorgeous illustrations are by Christian Dior beauty Illustrator, Bil Donavan.

Packing is no easy feat and after doing three loads of laundry and trying to color coordinate my fashionable load, I'm ready to call it a day. If I had an unlimited budget for this trip, here's a glimpse at a few items that I'd drop into my suitcase.

I've always loved stripes; it's such a classic staple, coming back each spring when thoughts of summer vacations by the sea begin to surface at the back of our minds. I'm particularly found of the Kate Spade sequin t-shirt. It would add just the right touch of sparkle to any outfit, non?
